Blizzard of 2011
In the Chicago area, the Blizzard of 2011 has been an experience of a lifetime. The twenty inches of snow, high winds, blowing snow, thundersnow, and the drifting snow have created a panorama of beautiful pictures. Add to that, a gorgeous black and white striped bird with a red ring around its neck, eating at my birdfeeder, and I have had a most interesting time watching nature around my house. I hope you enjoy my pictures.
Great pics! Mike and I had a great time last night; we turned our chairs towards the window and just watched the wind and snow. Awesome power of Mother Nature!
Wow! That is some snow ~ In MO, we just got a foot! Out of school for 3 days, so peaceful and lovely. Today we are digging out ~ I hope you enjoy your snow and the peaceful loveliness of it! ~ Katie
Well- I typed out a comment and poof- it's whisked away into cyberspace never to be seen again? Anyway- I posted some of my pics on my site- Hope you enjoyed your Snow Days- I sure did and really needed them as well! Stay warm...oh and LOVED your pics!!!!
Sweet Jessie Rose gets ready to take a nap. Jessie is a Maine Coon Cat. She likes to have her photograph taken and will be featured often. Her brothers are more camera shy.
My Cross Stitch Finishes of 2012
I didn't do well this year on cross stitch patterns. I will try to do better next year. I'm going to work on commitment to my art.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, Jon Lee! And that is some big snow! I believe that the bird is either a Hairy Woodpecker or a Downy Woodpecker
